Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Gives the ability to apply to business problems by using information about mathematics, statistics and operations research. Creates a mathematical model of decision problems encountered in business area. Obtains an optimal solution to complex business problems using appropriate models. Interprets by analyzing the results obtained from the solutions. Analyzes the problem, acquires the ability to use the appropriate method for the solution. Understands the importance of quantitative decision making techniques and methods. Defines and formulates the problem. Performs duality and sensitivity analysis. Uses transportation models and solution algorithms. Network analysis; applies the methods of CPM and PERT.

The concept of Operational Research topics such as problem definition, model building, linear programming, transportation - assignment problems, network problems and project management with CPM / PERT methods will be examined for building of the models and their solution techniques. |
