Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to teach advanced manufacturing techniques, their machines, their properties and their quality control tests of the carpet and blanket which has an important place in Turkish textile industry.

Course Contents : Manufacturing and foreign trade of carpet in Turkey, the importance of this product in home textiles industry. Sector analysis. Investigation of the fiber and yarn properties used widely in the production of carpet. Carpet production techniques, Wilton and Axminster carpets, their quality control and their production accounts. Blanket manufacturing techniques. Technological advances in production methods and machines of carpet.
