Learning Outcomes of the Course : Learn professional knowledge about the anatomy and physiology of the nerve tissue
Learn the pain control mechanisms
Learn professional knowledge about the pharmacology of the local anesthetics
Learn the instruments used during local anesthesia
Learn the injection techniques used for maxilla and mandible
Learn professional knowledge about the complications of the local anesthesia and their management

Aim(s) of Course : Give professional knowledge about dental anesthesia techniques to the dental students when they need to use during dental treatment.

Course Contents : Neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, pain kontrol, medical assessments of the patients for local anesthesia, neuroanatomy of trigeminal nerve, injection techniques in maxilla and mandible, supporting injection techniques, complications of local anesthesia.
