Learning Outcomes of the Course : Students will be able to recognize the characteristics of the raw materials and coloring oxides used in slip.
student will be able to define the effects that the raw materials will make on ceramic slip and stains.
Student will be able to calculate the prescriptions according to their slip.
Student will be able to make experiments on different slip compositions.
Student will prepare the plates that slips and paints are going to be applied on.
Student will report the study that she/ he has done.

Aim(s) of Course : To create slip, paint and glaze compositions appropriate to the ceramic body; investigate their usability on bodies convenient to firing temperatures.

Course Contents : The use of ceramic slip, ceramic glaze, and ceramic coatings, their preparation and properties.
