Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Analyses fashion trends for woven textiles and chooses original themes. Uses visual resources; develops creative, innovative and unique aesthetical approaches. Prepares sketches, synthesizes design criteria with weaving parameters, material, color, structure and yarn to create woven fabrics. Prepares variants and combinations on CAD programmes and practises prototype weaving. Presents fabric collections in a creative and innovative way. Has knowledge about the differences of armured and jacqurd fabrics.

Aim(s) of Course |

This course aims to help students create fabric collections for interior and apparel use by using double cloth structures. The design process starts with an idea and includes (research, draft, sketch, design, material selection, production and presentation) steps with design criteria and it is aimed to create unique fabric collections. |

Analysing fashion trends for woven textiles and choosing original themes. .Preparing sketches, synthesing design criteria with weaving parameters material, color and yarn to create woven fabrics. Creating interior and apparel fabrics in line with fabric trends, preparing variants, presenting on CAD programmes and practising prototype weaving. Having knowledge about the differences of armured and jacqurd fabrics. |
