Course Contents |
: |
A visual history of fashion from ancient to the present with particular emphasis on recent history from the mid-19th through the early 21st centuries. Students discuss and analyze the historical periods and their influence on contemporary fashion. Non-western approaches to apparel art and design, including Turkish, Japan, African and Indian arts are studied. |
