Learning Outcomes of the Course : Comprehend the importance and epidemiology of mental health and mental disorders in the society
Considers psychiatric patient as a whole with his family and environment
Practise systematic approach in mental health and disorders nursery
Educate the society and individuals about mental health
Describe the problems of childhood, adolescence and aging periods and produce solution
Practise the knowledge and the skills gained in mental health courses in his/her own life
Improve the empathic communication techniques and form a programme design of his/her own
Understand importance of mental health , and work for its maintenance and improvement in our country and in the world and develop responsibilities

Aim(s) of Course : To provide the care of psychiatric disorders, their diagnoses, treatment and rehabilitation and to learn application of the nursing process.

Course Contents : Child- adolescent and adult psychiatric disorders, clinical subtypes, symptoms, prognosis, treatment and knowledge and skills about application of the nursing process.
