Knows the basic elements of culture that explains the relationship between language.
Uses the concepts of mother tongue, common language, spoken language, written language, literary language, dialect, and subdialect correctly.
Describes the logic of language and the formation of world languages.
Describes the location of Turkish language.
Describes the historical development of Turkish.
Knows effects of and functions of the language revolution on the history of Turkish.
Uses the Turkish sound structure and the sound events correctly in written and oral forms.
Knows spelling rules.
Knows correspondence rules and provides examples.

Aim(s) of Course : To understand the richness of Turkish language, to use correct language in written and spoken environments, the relationship between language and culture to teach the importance of understanding the language, understand the rules that should be considered in correspondence.

Course Contents : What is language? The significance of the nation as a social institution. Turkish language among world languages and the history and phases of Turkish language. Turkish sounds and classification of audio features and sound knowledge of Turkish language and related rules. Turkish affixes and their applications, general information about the composition and application of a composition. Petition and resume writing. Spelling and punctuation.
