Aim(s) of Course : To draw attention to the issues caused by current major environmental problems, discuss the measures that can be taken in order to reduce these problems and emphazise the concept of sustainability as a criterion for architectural and interior design disciplines. To gain the ability to design within the framework of sustainability by analysing the sample applications and the solutions.

Course Contents : Definition of sustainability in the design of this concept, the location, the concept of sustainability, the importance of architecture and interior architecture, space-environment relationship, the task of the designer´s approach to sustainable design, energy, water, materials and method of making the understanding of the importance of sustainability.
