Analyse the dynamic structure of Turkey-EU relations. Provide students with the ability to critically analyse Turkey-EU relations. Provide students with the ability to analyse member states´ approaches and the policy-making process with regard to Turkey-EU relations. Provide students with the ability to examine developments in Turkey-EU relations within the theoretical and conceptual framework.

Aim(s) of Course |

The main objective of the course is to explore developments in EU-Turkey relations and Turkish membership process. In this context, it analyses the major policy issues and examines the ways the parties have approached to these issues. |

Course Contents |
: |
This course introduces students to the conceptual and theoretical explanation of EU-Turkey relations. In addition, it provides knowledge about the future directions of the EU-Turkey relations. This course will deal with EU-Turkey relations since the Association Agreement in 1963 between the parties. It will explore main political and economic issues between Turkey and the EU on the way of Turkish accession to the EU. |
