Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to examine the main techniques applied in plant biotechnology laboratory.

Course Contents : The contents of this course include the definition and application of plant biotechnology, solution preparation, microscope, centrifuge, use of PHmeter in biotechnology, plant tissue cultures, the preparation of liquid-solid LB medium, creation of a single colony of bacteria, Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated gene transfer, DNA isolation and quantification, PCR applications, agarose gel electrophoresis, polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, DNA sequence analysis.
