Learning Outcomes of the Course : Has information on basic art concepts.
Knows the basic principles of plastic formation.
Gains the skill to observe nature and enviroment with an inquisitive eye and communicates what s/he sees.
Gains basic skills related to surface and three dimensions.
Is able to establish form and meaning relations between plastic values.
Is able to apply plastic values and elements in accordance with the rules of composition.

Aim(s) of Course : To explain basic art and design concepts, visual thought reasoning, selective attention and the principles of plastic formation. - To develop original languages of expression based on imagination and creativity and develop confidence by monitoring and discussing the design process. - To elicit the perception that art and design is also an act of transformation. - To create aesthetic awareness and to develop an inquiring and inquisitive personality.

Course Contents : Research, inquisition and discussion of basic concepts of art. - Study of basic elements of artistic language, and necessary applications.
