To make a comparative study of written texts on early and late history, artistic styles and artists’ production processes and of the basic concepts of these texts |

Course Contents |
: |
This course includes the history of art criticism from the beginning of the 1900s to the 1960s, and is based on the comparative study of art criticism. Students are assigned to study and discuss selected art readings including criticism on different periods and styles of modern art, written from onthological / phenomonological / iconograhic perspectives. Students are presented with relevant tools and experiences in crafting their own art criticism. |
