Learning Outcomes of the Course : Ensure early recognition of the critical patients; using "ABCDE" approach, causes of cardiorespiratory arrest in adults; identification and treatment of the patients having high risk of cardiorespiratory arrest
Basic (BLS) and advanced (ALS) life support algorithm
Know and recognize the causes of airway obstruction, the techniques for the management of airway, the airway tools to keep open the airways and use the devices for lung ventilation
Disease processes that causes acute coronary syndromes, to distinguish acute coronary syndromes from each other, emergency treatment of acute coronary syndromes, maintenance treatment of acute coronary syndromes
Potentially reversible causes of cardiac arrest and the role of resuscitation team leader
Recognise and institute appropriate management for life threatening basic cardiac arrhythmias and electrical treatments, automated external defibrillators, defibrillation, cardio version and pacing
In some special cases, to know how resuscitation should be modified
Potentially reversible causes of cardiac arrest and the role of resuscitation team leader
After the return of spontaneous circulation the need to continue resuscitation, monitoring and the need to conduct research, how to ensure the patient’s safe transfer, how to provide optimal organ function after cardiac arrest, determination of prognosis after cardiac arrest and learn the role of the restrictions in this regard
How to support with patients’ relatives who witnessed resuscitation, how to interfere with people who have lost their relative; when a patient death, what is the ethnic and religious requirements and to learn what is the practical and legal applications following death
. Reviving the reasons for differences in rates of success following resuscitation; following cardiac arrest, at declaration section, why uniform report system is needed; which data should be collected and to know how to collect the data
