Aim(s) of Course : The goal of the course is to increase expertise of the students in a manner that will allow them to build upon their knowledge and contribute to materials development. It treats a major issue in ELT materials each week through a combination of readings from professional journals and books, lectures by course teachers, follow-up discussion and analysis and development of materials.

Course Contents : theory and principles of ELT material design; selecting, adapting, developing and evaluating materials; adapting coursebook materials to particular learning needs and teaching context; designing supplementary materials; language material and textbook evaluation criteria
