Analyzes the psychological, social, economic, philosophical and legal foundations of education.
Apprehends the roles and the responsibilities of the teacher in education and instruction.
Apprehend the new trends in Turkish education system.
Evaluates the problems of Turkish education system.

Aim(s) of Course : To generate a general understanding about the relationships between basic concepts of education, teaching profession, education and other institutions.

Course Contents : Basic concepts of education, teaching profession and professionalisation conditions, school and classroom environment, foundations of education, new trends in the twenty-first century, mass communication and education, the problems of Turkish education system
