The aim of the course is to enable the students to understand and use contemporary counseling theories so that they are able to develop a therapeutic relationship, establish appropriate counseling goals, design intervention strategies, evaluate client outcome, and successfully terminate the counselor-client relationship. |

Course Contents |

This is two term course which aims to introduce contemporary psychological counseling theories. This course covers helping relationship in counseling, Existential theory, Person-Centered Theory, Gestalt Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Theories, REBT, Reality Therapy Theory, TA, Family Theory, Feminist Theories, Eastern Theories, Body-Centered Counseling, Contrustivist and Integrative Approaches, Other Psyhoterapies. |
