Explains what the basic communicative skills are
Comprehends what interpersonal communication process is
Explains the verbal and non-verbal elements of interpersonal communication
Distinguishes what communicative skills expected from the individuals who are at different levels of development are.
Explains which scientific research methods and techniques are used in teaching.
Evaluates weak and strong features of communicative skills he has.
Evaluates different communicative skills education program in terms of content and aim
Explains the importance of expressing himself in interpersonal communication
Explains the function of effective listening in interpersonal communication
Recognizes how emotions shape communication and relations in interpersonal communication
Explains how he will use effective commnucative skills in the solution of interpersonal conflicts

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to enable the students to gain knowledge on basic concepts of communication, communication models ,effective communication, facilitative and inhibitive factors effective interpersonal communication, basic communication skills (effective listening skills, empathy etc.), conflict resolution process and develop effective communication skills.

Course Contents : The course covers basic concepts of communication and communication models, beginning and development of interpersonal relationships, theoretical approaches and models of interpersonal relationships, effective communication skills, effective listening, emphaty, self-disclosure, non-verbal communication, agressive, passive and assertive behaviors, conflict resolution process and emotional intelligence.
