Learning Outcomes of the Course : Analyzes the formation of the main concepts of the Islamic philosophy
Analyzes and discusses the semantical changes of the concepts
Analyzes the transition of the concepts from Greek philosophy to Islamic thought
Discusses the conceptual interactions between kalam and Islamic philosophy
Analyzes relevant texts

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of the course is to analyse the formation of the basic concepts of Islamic Philosophy and the transition and transformation of key concepts from Greek Thought to Islamic Philosophy. The analysis of the transformation of concepts in terms of semantics and its causes.

Course Contents : The course covers historical process, relations with Greek Philosophy, discussion of the method, an overview of the literature, metaphysical concepts, physical concepts and psychological concepts.
