Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to describe complex relationships between animal houses and animal heath, performance and product quality, and to grasp emphasis on importance of the controlling climatic conditions to the students, also to introduce structural specifications and equipments of the animal barns, and to buildup adequate knowledge about animal husbandry systems and types of shelters

Course Contents : Outdoor Environment (Temperature, Relative Humidity, Wind Speed, Solar Radiation, Rains) Indoor Environment, Thermal Environment (Temperature, Relative Humidity, Air Movements, Air Velocity), Chemical Environment (Gases, Dust And Micro Organisms, Odor), Structural Environment (Building), Site Selection, Dimensioning, Structural Properties (Natural Ventilation, Mechanical Ventilation, Insulation), - Equipments (Feeders, Drinkers, Heaters and Ventilation, Cooling and Illumination Equipments), Housing and Husbandry Systems (In Poultry, Small and Large Animal Production).
