Comprehends the importance of the teacher in gaining critical thinking skills
Plans activities regarding teaching critical thinking as subject and skll based and applies these in real classroom environment.
Analyzes domestic and foreign studies on critical thinking in social studies
Comprehends the place of the concepts of critical thinking and thinking in various disciplines

Aim(s) of Course : The main purpose of this course is to provide students with the ability to think critically and to do research in this field.

Course Contents : In this course the following topics are covered: What is thinking? What is critical thinking? Which factors are effective on critical thinking? Why is critical thinking important in social studies? Which approaches, methods and techniques are used to develop critical thinking in social studies?
