Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Learns the concepts of scientific research, fieldwork and Project and explains them within the context of methods of social sciences. In scientific research, student comprehends examples of fieldwork and interprets them within the context of scientific reseach ethics. Comprehends and practises note-taking during observation and interview. Learns to prepare interview table as part of fieldwork and uses it according to social sciences. Knows the computer applications on inventory and analysis of fieldwork . Comprehends and practises the act of writing report on the collected data.

Aim(s) of Course |

This course aims to help students comprehend fieldwork methods and techniques used in order to reach reliable and valid research results. It is also aimed that at the end of this course students will be able to carry out scientific studies and report on them.

Course Contents |
: |
The following topics are in the scope of this course: methods and techniques that make up the field of scientific research; observation, interview, benefiting from source and guide people with the help of interview table, preliminaries before fieldwork, and collecting, classifying, keeping and making card index of data. |
