Aim(s) of Course : This course aims to teach students the most common alternative conceptions in science, and their emergence and removal ways by providing them with the ablity to investigate the conducted studies. In addition, they learn to scan the literature databases, to select the appropriate articles and review them.

Course Contents : At the end of this course, students will recognize the most common alternative conceptions in science, and know their emergence and removal ways by providing them with the ablity to investigate the conducted studies. At the end of the term they will submit and present a report on alternative conceptions in science education by examinig the articles discussed each week. By this means, they will learn how to scan the literature databases, to select the appropriate articles and review them.
