Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Learns the basic terms of criminology and the relationship between criminology and other disciplines. Examines the relationship between crime and criminals by using various measures. Understands the historical development of criminology. Examines the relationship between crime and criminality and the causes of crime in the light of various theories. Understands the impact of crime and types of crimes upon social change by examining quality and quantity of crime.

Course Contents |
: |
Criminology, which studies crime, offender and the relationship between crime and offender in cause and effect relationship with regards to multiple factors, benefits from various disciplines which examine crime. The target of criminology course is to make students acquainted with criminals, the causes that drive a person to crime, the condition of social environment, personality and educational status of offender in terms of general, economical and cultural perspectives. |
