Learning Outcomes of the Course : Uses and correlates the genetics methods to increase prodictivity in fishing
Understands and relates genes, genotype and phenotype terms
Uses quantitative genetics, population genetics and transfer techniques to improve fish genotypes

Aim(s) of Course : contribution for fish production be understanding bases principles of fish genetics

Course Contents : Base principles of genetics (cell, chorosome, DNA and gene), qualitative phenotypes, quantitative phenotype, population genetics, defining population boundaries for fishery management, Marine and freshwater fish genetic resources, gene transfer in fisheries, genetic factors in fish productions.
