Learning Outcomes of the Course : Recognises the general principles of fish anesthesiology
Chooses the suitable anesthetic and its dose according to the species of fish and its conditions
Performs the long time transporting of fish under the anesthesia.
Facilitates the trial use of anesthetic during weighing and measuring fish
Advises the farmers about fish anesthesia

Aim(s) of Course : To main aim of this lecture is to teach students about fish anaesthesiology, pharmacology of anaesthetics; stages of anaesthesia in fish; main anaesthetics used in fish and their effects on fish.

Course Contents : main anaesthetics used in aquaculture, their kinds, properties, and their anaesthetic and adverse effects on fish; stages of anaesthesia in fish; use of adjutants together with the anaesthetics; the use of anaesthetics in fish transporting and their effects on water quality.
