Classification of dams. Factors governing the selection of the type of a dam. Dam planning. Forces on dams. Design and construction of gravity dams, arch dams, butress dams, and earth dams. Seepage through earth dams. Slope stability analysis. Rock-fill dams. Miscellaneous types of dams. |
