Learning Outcomes of the Course : Gives reasons for the necessity of Religious Education from humanitarian, social, cultural and legal point of view
Compares the developments in religious education programs in primary and secondary grade formal education institutions beginning from the Tanzimat era.
Evaluates the developments concerning the improvement of the course of Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge and the qualification improvement of members of the clergy.
Analyzes the possibility of religious education in secular education system.
Evaluates the problems encountered in the perception of basic religious resources and in its inclusion in the curriculum as an educational subject within the framework of understanding and purposes of today´s education. Evaluates the problems encountered in the perception of the basic religious sources and the process of including religious education in the curriculum witin the framework of today´s educational system, understanding and purposes.
Evaluates problems and solutions in non-formal religious education.

Aim(s) of Course : The course aims to to enable the students to learn the basic topics of science of religious education in order to form a basis for scientific research.

Course Contents : The course covers theoretical and practical problems in the fields of formal and non-formal religious education.
