Learning Outcomes of the Course : Defines the concepts of group, religion and religious groups.
Knows the theories related to the existence of groups.
Knows the factors affecting the existence of ingroups and outgroups.
Discusses the characteristics of inter-group relations from a scientific point of view.
Distinguishes between the concepts of religious ethnocentrism, religious particularism and religious dogmatism.
Knows that socio-cultural structure may affect religious understanding and the way of living.
Comments on the relations between religious groups in the context of modern scientific paradigms.
Acts objectively in personal relationships and scientific researches.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of the course is to explain the relations between religious groups.

Course Contents : The course covers concepts of group, inner group, outer group, religion, religiosity, dimensions of religious life, religious ethnocentrism, religious dogmatism, religious fanaticism, prejudices, stereotypes, discrimination, theoretical approaches and solutions.
