Learning Outcomes of the Course : Recognizes and defines the mystical exegesis.
Explains the distinction of zahir and batın (visible vs hidden) in the mystical exegesis.
Defines the secterian exegesis tradition.
Has knowledge about the classic exegecital works
Knows how classical exegetes treat the Quranic text in their works
Compares different exegesis schools

Aim(s) of Course : Giving information about the works of classical exegesists and to show the students how they treat the Quranic texts in their exegesis

Course Contents : Formation of mystic exegesis,its methods and main commentary tools, classical Ishsri aproach to exegesis, secterian exegesis in the classical period.
