Learning Outcomes of the Course : Are aware of the significance of identification of hadiths.
Have knowledge about the method to follow, and historical and contempoarary sources to appeal in identifying hadiths.
Have knowledge of computer programmes for identification of hadiths.
Are aware of the significance of criticism of hadiths.
Have knowledge about the principles, methods, and sources to appeal to in criticism of hadiths.

Aim(s) of Course : To have knowledge about identification and criticism of hadiths.

Course Contents : Significance of identification of hadiths and the method to follow for it; the historical and contemporary sources; Significance of criticism of hadiths, and the method and sources to follow for it; sources about the narrator´s identity , criticism of attribution and its conditions; critism of the text and its contiditions; required conditions for admitting to hadiths’ texts.
