Knows about the types and characteristics of texts. Knows about the theoretical and practical rules of writing a composition. Knows about the different types of written expression. Writes different types of texts and has practical skills on how to make applications on those written texts. Realizes the the structure of the language in written texts. Uses the words, sentences, words, proverbs, idioms in the texts correctly. Knows about the appropriate types of written expression.

Aim(s) of Course |

The aim of this course to help syudents acquire the required skills to write a story (character descriptions, description of context, narrative and its various stages) in Turkish. |

Course Contents |
: |
The contents of this course include the main characteristics of written language and written communication; the main differences of written language and oral language; expression: written and oral expression; subjective expression, objective expression; paragraph; types of paragraphs(introduction-development-conclusion); definition of the text and text types; principles of a text (meaningful, consistent, planned writing) writing expression (writing composition; free texts, planned texts); planned text writing phases; (subject, limiting the subject, aim, deciding the main and supporting ideas; writing plan, harmony of the paper.) ; information texts (letter, news, advertisement, report, scientific texts), studying on examples and writing practice; writing a summary of a text; correction of the mistakes in written expressions. |
