Describes the measurement tools and techniques used in education. Describes the required characteristics of measurement tools. Prepares, implements and evaluates the test items. Calculates the scores obtained from the test and item statistics. Implements evaluation and grading techniques. It provides application skills in designing and developing assessment instruments including performance, analyzing tests, and using the results to guide instructional decision-making in grades K-12 and to improve student learning Course Contents : The contents of this course include evaluating the importance of assessment and evaluation in education; comparing the traditional and contemporary assessment methods; explaining the features found in measurement tools; acquiring the knowledge of doing basic statistics on the results of measurement and acquiring the ability of developing various assessment tools in education.
