Is able to read classic Turkish poems with "aruz" rhythm. Knows the historical development of mesnevi in Turkish literature. Knows the types of mesnevi. Knows "Leyla and Mecnun" mesnevi, is able to assess it´s subject and characters Mode of Delivery : Face-to-Face Prerequisites and Co-Prerequisites : None Recommended Optional Programme Components : None Aim(s) of Course : To gain knowledge about mesnevi verse shape, to introduce the important mesnevis like Leyla and Mecnun, Yusuf u Züleyha, to gain the ability of mesnevi understanding and assesing to students. Course Contents : To learn mesnevi characteristics, important mesnevi writers and mesnevis. In addition, students can assess the mesnevis easily.
