Learning Outcomes of the Course : Is able to compare the language and literature classic and post-classic Chagatai with previous and next written languages.
Knows the Chagatai (Eastern Turkish) language which is one of the two written languages of the z / ş arm of Tukish developed after the 15th century.
Sees the bonds between Chagatai Turkic languages and the written languages developed after the classic period
Recognizes the pre-classical and classical period, and the phonology, morphology and vocabulary of Chagatai.
Knows the fundamentals of Chagatai Turkish which is one of the historical periods of Turkish language, that created a classic literature.
Knows the relationship between the classic and post-classic periods of Chagatai Turkish and Ottoman Turkish which coexisted at the same period.

Aim(s) of Course : Introducing the classic and post-classic periods of Chagatai in Turkish Language history with its distinctions between other written languages.

Course Contents : Comparing the classic period of Chagatai with the post-classical period, evaluating other written languges developed after Chagatai.
