Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows how to explain the basic concepts in sociology of art.
Knows the effects of art in the life of society.
Is able to explain relations of art with such kind of phenomena as religion and science, etc.
Explains how art is affected from various periods and production styles.
Based on a thesis put forward, students will be able to do a scientific study in the field of art with research and project work habits related to this thesis.
Is able to have self-confidence taking his own culture and art as a reference, comprehend the facts in the period he lives in, and express his own scientific problematics using a scientific language.
Gains the ability to do multidisciplinary study being open to different scientific disciplines.

Aim(s) of Course : Students will be able to understand, explain and evaluate the status of art and the artist from the period of primitive society to today´s advanced technological society.

Course Contents : The position of art throughout the history, its definition and its relation with the other concepts will be analysed in general terms.
