Understands different forms and their characteristics Knows about musical works composed for different communities and their characteristics. Is able to do theoretical studies to know about national and international music literature with his professional knowledge. Gains awareness of being national and international artist who knows the responsibility he should take. Gains the habit and awareness to have art ethics and professional discipline. Mode of Delivery : Face-to-Face Prerequisites and Co-Prerequisites : None Recommended Optional Programme Components : None Aim(s) of Course : The aim of the course is to analyse the works of composers of polyphonic music ,from 1750 to the present, that marked the era, determining their contributions to the art of music, and examining the development of forms. Course Contents : Works that are selected from Music repertoire are studied with ´Partition Analysis on´ or ´listening Analysis´ methods. Harmony analysis carried out on partition forms a basis for explanation of forms. Structural characteristics of the works are studied comparatively.
