Learning Outcomes of the Course : recognizes the theories of globalization and popular culture and develop discussion skills
Develops a comparative insight in time and sphere of the historical development of popular culture
Understand and analyses the relation of everyday life and economy-politics
Makes evaluations about the international cultural interaction

Aim(s) of Course : Course aims to sharing current knowledge and debate regarding globalisation and popular culture theories. The course is open to post-graduate students who are interested on international cultural encounters.

Course Contents : Theories of globalization and popular culture, historical development popular culture, the relationship between everyday life and political economy, current examples from Turkey and all over the world regarding international issues of cultural interaction

Language of Instruction : Turkish+English
